Cindy Shaw

NOW96.3 Woman of the Week - Week of May 15, 2017

Name: Cindy Shaw

From: St. Louis, MO

Works at: Kirkwood High School

Cindy pushes through barriers everyday. As a single parent, she ensures that her children (all 6) have their needs met. Recently, she worked hard to become a healthier person. Cindy lost 126 pounds in 10 months. This was no easy feat. As a special education teacher, Cindy works hard and sometimes long hours. She loves her career and wouldn't change it. However, trying to find a balance and become a healthier role model to both her children and students, it has taken dedication of a new kind.

Cindy loves that NOW96.3 plays new music as well as a mix of older music. She enjoys the variety, and when she works out in the pool she loves listening to the radio to keep her moving! The morning show always gets Cindy to work and puts her in a good mood.

Favorite NOW96.3 artists: The Chainsmokers, Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, Adele

Songs that gets Cindy through the day: Shape of You by Ed Sheeran & Don't Let Me Down by Chainsmokers
