Maroon 5 has debuted the official music video for their new single “Wait.” Directed by David Meyers and starring Baywatch actress Alexandra Daddario, the track is the second single off of Maroon 5’s new hit studio album, Red Pill Blues.

The video follows a surreal breakup mess, as frontman Adam Levine repeatedly fails to get his girlfriend, played by Daddario, to stick around.

It begins with a shirtless Levine getting punched into Daddario’s coffin at her funeral, kicking off a series of bizarre breakups. In one scene, Levine swims in a sea of mermaid clones. In another, he tries to touch Daddario’s face, but it turns to mushed paint. It all comes to a perplexing finale in which she drives away, leading to Levine’s (very literal) unraveling.

“Wait” follows on the heels of Maroon 5’s smash single “What Lovers Do” featuring SZA.

In conjunction with the new album, Maroon 5 also recently announced their Red Pill Blues world tour. The first leg of dates are set to kick off on May 30th at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington, and will feature special guest Julia Michaels.

Tickets are on sale now for the Maroon 5 St. Louis tour stop on September 13. Get details HERE.
